Ministry Highlights
For the next few months we will be highlighting organizations around the Inland Empire who are doing great Kingdom work. We are finding it more our role to celebrate and network these people, rather than try to duplicate something or create our own brand of mission work. This month's ministry partner is:
Youth Hope Our friends at YouthHope in Redlands exist to build confidence and promote self-sufficiency for homeless and runaway youth by providing trust, hope, support, and education.
In America today, it is estimated that 1.3 to 2.8 million youth will runaway this year, and the average age of the homeless youth is 18 years old. YouthHope helps youth, between the ages of 14-24, who are homeless, runaways, or at-risk. Many of these youth have aged out of foster care, and did not ever get a chance to develop the life skills necessary to become independent, successful adults. YouthHope helps the youth receive the medical, dental, and eye care they need, and we help them get into a school or job training program. We are also feeding an average of 50 youth every Tuesday and Thursday who would go hungry without the help of YouthHope. Youth Hope is a registered 501(c)3.
